Our August Bank Holiday meet at Sharpness Dockers Club, Sharpness, Gloucester, another new site for Somerset DA, saw the return of the hot weather for a B H meet. A very interesting dockyard and lovely Sharpness Canal walk, WE WERE ALL SHIP-SHAPE AND BRISTOL FASHION.
Lots of foraging went on from the hedgerows, campers went home with plums, sloes, blackberries and apples.
Sue made us a delicious apple and blackberry crumble, served professionally by Ross, yum yum (not sure if that refers to Ross or the crumble - ed).
Campers also enjoyed a Skittles evening with cheesy chips. There was also Sunday Lunch and food available from the pub. Thanks to Barbara, Mike for stewarding and the 19 units who came to make a good meet.

Our THS at the Beehive Field, had 138 units visit us, up fromm 99 last year, with 566 nights camping, up from 412. The first week saw beautiful weather and was very busy, with visitors en route to the NFOL and a party from the canoe section, but the second week was wet and quieter.
